Celsius were asked by a close client, Direct Dental Services (DDS) to help them in converting an empty indoor unit into a new and modern dentist.

Description

One of the requirements that DDS specified was to ‘create something different’. We suggested the installation of LED mood lighting throughout the reception and internet radio streamed to each surgery.

The LED lighting was able to set to static or colour changing at various speeds and effects. To make the LED sit discreetly a wooden lip was created around the ceiling which allowed us to sit the tape inside and create the desired effect.

We had to overcome the challenge of rewiring the entire unit without removing any of the walls or ceilings. We were able to work around this to conduit the cables from one side of the room to the other by utilising the partitions that were being erected. We were then able to position and attach sockets and switches in the boarding throughout the building.

In the theme of ‘something different’ a cartoon dentist chair was installed to make their children’s visit more fun! It was to be the focal point of the surgery…if only building it was as easy!

The client was absolutely overjoyed with the end product!
